Happy Sunday Everyone!
Alex and I are officially on Day 6 of the Whole 30. To be honest, we have felt like serious crap the first few days. I’ve had a few people ask me what the Whole30 actually is, so here is a little run down. For 30 days you take out dairy, grains (aka no gluten), peanuts, alcohol, and a bunch of other things, but mostly importantly NO SUGAR. You guys wouldn’t believe what has sugar in it, start reading your labels it will shock you. After the 30 days you re-introduce foods slowly to see how your body reacts. I’m really hoping it helps with my skin and clears some of it up (adult acne is stupid). Anyways, I tried it a few years ago by myself and only lasted 6 days. It helps a ton to have Alex doing it with me this time around because we can meal prep together and suffer together for 30 days.
We got the idea to do it because while we were in Michigan a ton of Alex’s family had done it and claimed they felt amazing afterwards. I have no self control when it comes to sugar, so it thought it would be a good idea and Alex was on board! Speaking of Michigan here was a cute outfit I put together with the perfect off the shoulder shirt:
I’m currently trying to make a Walnut Crusted Pork Tenderloin from the Whole30 book. I’m interested to see if it come’s out! I still plan on sharing my sweet potato nacho recipes with you all, so stay tuned this week for it! Have a great week everyone and thanks for following along 🙂
